Call for Applications

The Institute for Public Policy is looking for researchers and analysts specializing and genuinely interested in the following and related areas:

 - Political developments, institutions in Kyrgyzstan;
 - Economic policies, business in Kyrgyzstan;
 - Social policies in Kyrgyzstan;
 - Foreign policy of Kyrgyzstan;
 - Public policy making in Kyrgyzstan;
 - Politics, economics in neighboring states (Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and China).

Potential applicants would be expected to:

 - Have strong relevant educational background in political science, public administration, governance, international relations, sociology, economics and related areas, preferably with a Master`s degree or higher;

 - Have very good writing skills, preferably with extensive writing experience;
 - Have very strong research skills, preferably with extensive research experience;

Fellowship details:

 - Selected candidates will become research fellows affiliated with the Institute for Public Policy, and will be expected to contribute to the publications of the Institute for Public Policy on issue areas identified and agree upon with the Institute within specified timeframes.
 - Selected applicants will be provided a series of trainings/workshops on research, political analysis, writing policy papers and related topics, free of charge.
 - The payment will be exclusively performance-based, on the basis of preliminarily agreed rates.

Important Note:

The position is not full-time: fellowship may be held in parallel with
research fellow`s main job.

The Institute for Public Policy is a Bishkek-based independent organization that was founded in April 2005. It aims at promoting formation of a practice of public policy and development of mechanisms of constructive interaction between state institutions, civil society, mass media and businesses. The Institute supports partner relations with many participants of public and political processes and aims at involving the public in the process of decision making.
