The roundtable will discuss the newly emerging patterns in Kyrgyz politics: struggle for power based on street rallies, non-obedience to law and internal intrigues. How long the highest political power will remain a contested issue? How incumbent or new political elite will have to act in order to bring domestic politics to rule-based behaviour? IPP invited several expers in political science and politics as well as politicians to discuss these and related questions thoroughly and try to come up with basic policy recommendations for current and future country leadership.

The Institute for Public Policy is a Bishkek-based independent organization that was founded in April 2005. It aims at promoting formation of a practice of public policy and development of mechanisms of constructive interaction between state institutions, civil society, mass media and businesses.
